XP PLC founded by James Peters in Pangbourne UK as a specialist distributor of power conversion products
1998
Company starts to private label products with the XP brand
2000
The Company starts to build a sales channel across Europe.
2002
Acquires Switching Systems International, a company with its own configurable product line and design team with outsourced manufacturing. This transforms the Company's business model from distributor to designer.
2006
The Company becomes a manufacturer through a joint venture with its main contract manufacturer and starts production in its Chinese facility 100km north west of Shanghai
2008
The manufacturing joint venture is bought out and the Company starts construction of a new state of the art facility on the existing Kunshan site.
2009
Global recession hits but the Company produces record earnings due to new healthcare program wins and the strengthening of the US Dollar.
2012
The Company starts production of magnetic components in an additional manufacturing facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The new facility is the most environmentally friendly facility in the industry.
2014
The first production of power converters commences in Vietnam.
2015
Completes the acquisition of EMCO High Voltage, expanding the Company's product line into high voltage DC-DC modules
2017
Completes the acquisition of Comdel, expanding the Company's product line into Radio Frequency (RF) power conversion.
2018
Completes the acquisition of Glassman High Voltage, expanding the Company's product line into the high voltage/high power market.
Expands the manufacturing facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
